Dried Floral Holiday Wreaths, Swags & Garlic Braids
Each season, as flowers bloom at their peak, hundreds of stems are collected and air dried. Our favorite varieties: amaranth, celosia, feverfew, goldenrod, grasses, gomphrena, hydrangea, larkspur, lunaria, nigella, poppies, rudbeckia, statice, strawflowers, sunflowers, sweet annie, & yarrow. We mix our “drieds” with fresh locally grown “greens” of boxwood, eucalyptus, white cedar & pine to create everlasting pieces of art that will last for years to come.
For best results: keep items out of direct sunlight! items hung inside will last longer than those hung outside. mist sparingly with water during dry periods. Materials will become brittle over time; best not move them once they are in place. Birds love to nest in them - consider Moving them away from doors in early february.
All Turkey and Pheasant Feathers are donated by VA Licensed hunting friends; Chicken & Guinea Feathers are from farming friends
Colorful Dried Flower Creations
Our simple traditaional holiday wreaths are hand wired to grapevine wreath rings that we made from materials collected locally. Our fresh greens include magnolia, white cedar, white pine, boxwood and eucalyptus. Pine cones are collected year long from various locations.
Garland & Swags
We start with a base of fraiser fir roping from our Boone, North Carolina farming friends and add touches of boxwood, cedar, magnolia and pine. We then add dried flowers and succulents to create dynamic table or doorway holiday decor.
